Added on:: why can’t we edit a thread title???? It’s mansplaining.

Remember Dh explaining how to use the remote ? He didn’t have time to sync the two remotes to one.

Today SIL came over and fixed it so I now only need one remote.

And then proceeded to explain how to use it. It’s the same remote I’ve had for 5 years.

Mansplaining……..yes, Virginia, it’s a real thing.

So I just learned about this days ago, while reading the news. I thought your post was going to be about this! So glad it wasn’t.

I thought SIL was sister-in-law and was going to cheer on the woman interference, but then I read again and am assuming it's son-in-law

teach5- I'm not looking, but I'm guessing it's the LDS thing? That was all over twitter last week. I knew I had heard the term "soaking" recently If you really want to know more, look up the jump thing (I forget what it's called, exactly). Higher level of soaking.

BTW< you can also edit the title by clicking edit, then clicking edit again once you are on the edit screen. (lol @ bookgeek- send your dh over!)

Grace, does that change the title in the list of threads too? I have been able to change it on my post, but not the list.

Yikes, thanks for the link. I was happily envisioning annoying mansplainers fired upon by fire hoses.

My nomination: Because of insurance rules, only our condo’s HOA Board members have a certain key and we borrow it from one of them. I need the key to make the Common Room airy when my book club meets here. The first time, I arranged to borrow the key, the board member insisted on giving me a guided tour of the room (where I’ve been many times in my 3 years here), including where the light switches are and how they work (up/down). Mansplaining at its worst. You’d better believe I borrowed the key from a different neighbor the next time.

Man soaking

I'm afraid to check out that link

DH was telling DD how to peel potatoes. We've been together over 20 years. He has not peeled a single potato in that time period. But he knew better than her--and better than the directions I gave her.

It reminds me of one of my favorite jokes:

Where does a mansplainer get his water?

“Well, actually…..”

It doesn't seem to, unless you change it right away. I was told at one point that it just "took longer," but I don't think that's always the case. I don't see it on any list, though, once it's off the top on the home page.
