I teach at a school with a 88% Hispanic population. It is a k-5 school. Our writing is awful. We still have students in 5th grade who only put 1 period in each paragraph. We do not have a writing program. We follow Common Core and use the writer's workshop model. I feel like it would benefit our school to purchase a writing program. I was wondering what everyone thought about this. Does anyone have any recommendations? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

the Write Tools. It has really helped our school organize our writing. The planner is the same throughout the different types of writing. We use it school-wide K-6 and have seen a huge improvement in our writing. Since it is used school wide, there is common language between the grades, our students know what to expect and our teachers don't have to back track since the students are familiar with planner. In fact, our school made the most growth in writing for our school district.
