I wrap my science centers around inquiry and experimentation. I pick a scientific skill set, not always directly about what I am teaching, and create a basic center. For example, I have the students pick several attributes and sort items such as rocks, I give students some supplies and ask them to build a lever or complete circuits, I give student magnifying glasses and a challenge for observation, these are just a few examples. I like to let the children have some lead in science centers.
