This is my first year at a new school as the only Title 1 teacher for both reading and math. I spent last year teaching Title 1 math, but I have never planned for the reading side of a Title program before. I am struggling with planning reading interventions for the older grades. I am looking for suggestions for helping 5th graders with their reading comprehension. What are some good resources that you use when planning these interventions?

The Reading Strategies Book by Jennifer Seravallo has many ideas for all areas of reading intervention.
If you don't have access to that book, I would check to see what resources the teachers may have but are not using. For example if they have a reading series, they are often accompanied by intervention readers and planners.
Even if your school doesn't use Cafe, the menu has a good list of what strategies should be taught. The most important are at the top.
