I've taught 27 years and 22 of those years have been Title 1. I love my job!! I'm always looking for new strategies and programs. I like to change things up when students aren't progressing. What's your favorite new thing?

It's definitely not a program, but the kinders love ZAP on a stick. It can be used through any topic and grade level. My kinders group is learning to ID capital and lower case. Write these letters on sticks and some of the sticks can say "ZAP". If they pull that stick, they put all their sticks back.
For 2nd and 3rd, I use it for sight words and for 4th, I use it for sight words and multiplication facts.

For kinder, we created a 1-10 book working on a new number every few days.
Right now, we started an A-Z book. It will take us a while.

Thanks!! I'll try that. I've used it with cards, but not sticks. Sounds like fun!!!
