Do you know what motivated them in the classroom?

Can you do something at the end of each day for students who have completed their assignments? A special meet or break out room with a kahoot game or something else they find fun? Only invite the ones who earn it. Really build it up early in the day to get kids interested. Maybe you could do a "teaser" on the activity early on and finish it later.

What do your kids like to do? Guided drawing? Games, building, time to talk, art, show science demo (explode a volcano), special read aloud.... What motivates your group?

Do a YouTube search for Hyperdocs. It a nutshell, they allow you to electronically bundle your lessons in one place. The students can work at their own pace, so long as it's done by the due date. You can embed fun things throughout. I'm not sure how to do it, but you (probably) can make it so that the fun things remain locked until a certain amount of work is completed. If you go to the hyperdoc website, you'll find some free ones there.
