Is your state still going ahead with the alternative state assessment

Our state was not, but then we were, maybe we might not and it is back on again.

I barely can psych myself for the DLM administrator modules in a typical year.

Is the regular state assessment still happening in your state?

Apparently they are still deciding in mine. They actually just put out a "breaking news" statement that literally said they couldn't decide . Apparently the "stakeholders were not able to reach a consensus." I would assume that if the regular state test is happening, the alternate assessments will be happening as well. I don't see how they could do one and not the other. I am really hoping it's cancelled.

I'm not sure at this point when we will go back in person, but some are speculating if they're really focused on safety it may not be until March/April. I suspect it will be way earlier because they'll make excuses about school being safe with mitigation strategies...but if the March/April crowd is right, I can't imagine finally going back in person and then immediately wasting that time on state testing .

Yes, I believe the regular state assessment is still happening.

My school did the fall MAP test remotely. Trusted the kids to login and not cheat. Really.

Our super has said that federal funding is in jeopardy if we don't take the regular assessment.

The DLM is based on test performance and previous testing performance. We would have to be back face to face full time or hybrid to even try to get it done.

I can't even progress monitor my kids 1:1 in zoom without parents trying to cheat! I'm taking data for progress reports right now and I've had several parents blatantly giving answers in the background.

Yeah that is a huge problem for me as well.

I have a kid that spells out a word he does not know and someone in the background tells him the word.

I have another that won't answer at all unless someone at home prompts him.
