How students write on Teacher Made

I have looked at Teacher Made. I am trying to figure out how to set it up so that students may write on the page, like the overlay in some Teachers Pay Teachers products.

Thank you for your help!

Teacher Made is for PDF products. Upload the PDF product, insert what you want (text, number, etc) where you want it and then the kids put the answer in the box that you inserted.

You can change the font, size, color and duplicate the boxes.

Is there a pen tool? Another poster told me last week that there is.

Now I put pdfs in Google Slides as a background and insert text boxes. They type in them. In some activities on TPT, there is a pen tool. I am looking for something like that.

Thank you!

If you want them to write in the page, I recommend whiteboard.chat. The only thing I liked about Teachermade that Whiteboard.chat doesn’t have is the autocorrect feature, but there were so many limitations to Teachermade that outweighed that benefit.

Thank you. Do they have their own documents on Whiteboard.chat?

What I am looking for is like the overlay on TPT. I give an assignment and they can type or print their answers. I looked it up and it is an overlay. Just don't know where to find it other than making something on TPT.

I appreciate the suggestions.

I don't know what an overlay in TPT is, but on whiteboard.chat, you create the questions and lock them in place. Then students each have their own board that you can see them writing on in real time or assign for independent work.

Here's a demo

Yes there is a pen tool on Teacher Made or they can type. You can insert text boxes for them or they can insert their own. I’ve uploaded both PDFs and ppts to Teacher Made with no issues.
I love it!

My kids use the pen tool all of the time. This video shows what students will see. They have added more to the toolbar since this was posted but it gives you a good idea.

Here’s an example of one of my assignments for my third graders. You can enter a name and see how the kids will see it:
