That's why I don't take longterm sub jobs - not even 3 days.
When I took a previous 3 day job in the past, and I was confused, I told the office and they hooked me up with the department head. If they couldn't do that. I'd ask the principal. You don't have to be rude, just say you need help. The principal would probably want to know what is going on. If that doesn't help, I'd try to get out of it.
I got out of a different long-term job that had been a bait and switch. I called the school and I told her that it wasn't what was presented, and I didn't want the sub coordinator to ding me for it. I then emailed the sub-coordinator and told her what happened.
You need to be assertive. Don't let them blame you. If they want us to do everything the teacher does, they should pay us as a teacher. Until then, they should plan everything.
