Integrate Technology into Science Lesson

In a few weeks, I will be teaching a 5E Science lesson on mosquitoes to a group of second graders. I finally get to integrate technology into my lesson by using an Elmo! Any suggestions on how I can integrate the Elmo into my science lesson?

Using the Elmo

You could use the Elmo with almost anything in your lesson.
What exactly is your lesson on?
Do you have an article the students are reading, or anything from a text book?
Either of those would be something great to project with the Elmo in front of the class. I'm not sure how else you could use it, though, without knowing the exact topic of your lesson/what you need to cover.

Hope this got you at least thinking about what to do!

Had to look up ELMO

Hi there,

I seriously did have to look up what an ELMO was and then I realized I was spoiled because this is what my college professors were using at a local community college I attended, lol.

Here are some interesting links that show fun ways to incorporate it into lesson plans.

Depending on WHAT you want your students to learn about mosquitoes, would determine how you would use the ELMO.

IE. You could make a model of a mosquito and allow everyone in the class to see it.

You could do a science experiment using a straw and a cup of dyed red water... and instead of everyone crowding around to try to see it, they could sit at their desks/tables and see it.

Sounds interesting! Let me know what you decide to do... I'm curious now!
