How often do you get them? For the past several years, I've gotten them every 12-15 weeks and that's been enough to cover and shade the gray! Sadly, not any more!!! I don't want to damage my hair, but I'm going to have to do get the highlights more often--or do something else. The gray is taking over....it is becoming more difficult to hide it. The highlights are expensive, too-- but, I'm willing to pay to cover up the gray! Any advice?

I get my haircut every 6-7 weeks and get my color touched up each time. Worth the expense to me. I use a touch up powder from Madison Reed in between to cover up the outgrowth until the next appointment. I am only 62 and not ready to go gray.

I get mine touched up and cut every 6-8 weeks. I get legit highlights with bleach every other appt. The appointment in between she just does a toner, so itís not quite as damaging to my hair.

I get roots touched up every three weeks, but probably could do two weeks.
I get highlights every third trip to the salon.
When I can start to see the roots, I use a spray from Sallyís to fill in as needed.

No highlights here either just a cut and color every 4 weeks--but I do notice that gray peeking out after about 3 The gray picks up my color so it looks like non obvious highlights. I'm not ready to go all gray either.

My hair dresser uses a gentle demi permanent hair dye on my hair. It washes out gradually so the only grays I really see are from new hairs that grow in. I usually go about 10-12 weeks between appointments.

I had the same problem. I go every 8 to 10 weeks. I now get a single process of my original color of dark blonde on the roots with a few highlights. I was getting more highlights and it became too blonde and my hair became dry. My stylist recommended I do the single process and my hair looks nice.
