I made a list when this first started. I have done one thing from the list, but I have done many things not on the list. I realized today why that is. The things on my list are for when dh is not here. I realize how much I hate him FOLLOWING me around to see what he can take over and then claim he did it all!

Example: I was having trouble with my weed sprayer and he was suddenly over me saying things that were unhelpful and NOT the problem. Like he knows what he what talking about...

I am writing in multiple journals. I love writing!

I am painting landscapes in water colors. Practice makes progress.

I am creating mini mosaics with sayings.

I am rekindling an interest in cooking and trying new recipes.

I've been crocheting, baking/cooking more, and sewing. I made masks for DH and I. I'm going to try to make a bunch to donate now, if I can find elastic.

I am working on 14 scrub caps for my mom and her coworkers. I'm doing them assembly line style and doing one step at a time for all of them. So far I have cut them all and am starting on doing the first seam.

I am sewing masks. I am sick of sewing masks! So tomorrow I'm sewing a skirt for myself. Do I need a skirt? No. But I really want to make something different, so I'm making this. (The pattern is free if you sew.)

Iíve been knitting dishcloths like itís going out of style. When I sell stuff before the holidays, theyíre my most popular item. Theyíre mindless work for me and easy to work on for little bits here and there and easy to put down if my kids need something. Iím currently on #19 in the past 4 weeks.

You can use the elastic from a used fitted sheet or use ties which enable to wearer to better control the fit.

I have crocheted about 1/3 of a lap blanket to bring to my sonís hockey games next season. Yesterday I did a deep clean of my basement bedroom/storage room. Then DD asked if she could move to that bedroom so we totally swapped the rooms. Today my new vacuum was delivered so I was did the floors to see how well it worked. I also loaded my car with things to go to the local dump when they open again on Tuesday.

We're replacing carpet in the hall and master BR with wood. I stocked up on paint beforehand, so I'm painting ceilings and walls, and then stripping the wax off floors. As weather permits, I'm working on the yard and putting in a garden.

Then I'll move on to closets and cupboards. I online tutor a few kids for a little extra money so I have to keep up on that.

I've been...cleaning!
Old 04-11-2020, 09:53 PM

We cleaned all the kitchen cabinets.
We cleaned our bedroom closets (all 4).
We cleaned out the basement.

We've cleaned our plates.every.meal!! I've been cooking more and trying new recipes and enjoying time at home with my family. 🍲🍜🍝

I've also made a point to reach out to college buddies and people that I haven't talked to in a long time--- it's been fun to catch up with old friends. ☎️

We have been doing remote online learning for 3 weeks now ( 4th grade). I work more hours now than during regular school most days. I have not had time or have been too tired to do anything else after doing that all day. Plus, until a couple days ago, I was not sleeping well at all every night.

We are stymied

we have been cleaning out the house in preparation for downsizing.

The attic is cleared out, the basement is organized and cleared. DH is working in the garage and I am working on closets.

We have thrown away a lot. But....

we can do nothing with our "give away" piles.
we can do nothing with our "to sell" piles
we can do nothing with our "donate" piles.

To be honest- we were highly motivated when the quarantine began. As this has continued, our motivation has flagged. Interesting!
