My daughter was exposed to Covid, now she is sick

We don't know if it's Covid yet. She has a fever and body aches. I hope she is well enough to drive herself to one of the drive thru testing centers tomorrow. She works with special needs kids and a family traveled and lied about doing a 14 day quarantine when they returned. People are so damn selfish and I'm trying not to freak out!

Sending prayers for a good outcome for your DD.

I can't believe that a family would lie about quaranting, don't they even care about themselves. To think this is a place were there are special needs kids, and this family did this. I would love to see them held accountable and fined.

I hope your daughter is okay, I am beginning to feel like we live in a I care about only myself society. So sad. So different from how I grew up. I grew up in Toronto, Canada and our neighborhood was friendly and caring. Working middle/poor class. Live in Kingston now and when my husband had a debilitating accident that kept from working his own business for over a year I had neighbours cutting the grass and helping out. All this without being asked. I had three young kids and I dont know what I would have done without their care and support. I feel our world is not a better place.

Very disturbing behavior from that family that exposed your daughter! Unfortunately this selfish act is far too common. I hope your daughter gets a clean bill of health very soon.

I'm so sorry about your daughter feeling so sick! What worry for both of you!

If this family didn't quarantine, they may be experiencing the Covid symptoms, too. Maybe someone should give them a call and let them know that their selfish lies (or... um... lack of complete disclosure) made your daughter sick and they may NEED to quarantine if they aren't already feeling the symptoms.

I hope your daughter feels better quickly and the symptoms are mild.

This is also one of my fears of going back to school at the end of August. How many families will have decided to travel in the weeks before school starts? We have not heard yet whether or not students will be required to wear masks or not. This is all so scary.
