All I have going is a hair cut on Thursday. Then Friday I have a delivery from Wayfair arriving. I ordered a new TV stand and an area rug for our living room. Can't wait!

How about you what are you looking forward to this week?

I'm volunteering at a school 2 days this week, don't have any plans other than that (very unusual for me!) but I'm looking forward to next week when I'll be in Disneyland!

I'll be attending my classes at the lifelong learning institute of a local college. I also will go to the gym most days. I'm getting my nails done tomorrow and will schedule a haircut for later this week or next week. It is a fairly busy week for me.

This week is extra busy! Today we drove to a neighboring town to go out to lunch with friends that we used to teach with. Tomorrow is applesauce making day at ds's house. Wednesday is the morning I volenteer in the school. Wednesday evening we are going out to supper with neighbors. Then on Thursday morning we travel 600 miles back to our 1st home. Never as busy there . Not much to do in our tiny town, no family there, and many of our friends are not yet retired.

I just joined the Y on line. I'm headed over today to pick up my ID and a class schedule before going to the store and picking up small bottles of shampoo etc to keep in my bag. I plan to start swimming tomorrow!

I also have a job interview for part time at the local library later this week. Fingers crossed!

This week looks really good for long walks. It had been hotter than normal, but today it is cooler and quite pleasant. Lunch with a friend and book club dinner are about the only things on the calendar. I also foresee a lot of reading on my porch with some hot green tea and snacks. I have to get through my huge stack of books and this looks like a great week to do so. Next week is a different story.

I have my second bobbin lace class tomorrow. I've really gotten the hang of it, and have produced 3 lace "bookmarks" (a one inch wide piece of lace about 8 inches long and then fringed at the bottom). Each has become more "error free."

Then heading to our primary residence (we're still at the summer place) where we prepare for our departure Thursday to Elko, NV for a first cousin's reunion on my husband's side. The weekend should be fun. We plan to find some places important to his family's history: a grandfather's grave, a property that was the site of the family's summer "camp," where the first cousins' parents lived with their parents while their father earned a living gold mining back in the 1920s, the elementary school (now the county courthouse) where the siblings attended (and locating the first grade classroom where my MIL was put in the corner for talking too much! She then went on to teach first grade for 35 years! )

Should be a great time with family.

I'm officially "liking" DodgersFan's message!

Everyone's plans sound so great. That coastline cruise sounds fabulous! I've been watching deals this year - next year is the year!

Yesterday was my work day at the museum, and then I went to the new health center to volunteer, helping stuff envelopes for a big mailing.

Today I have aquazumba, and pick up my sub ID...and in the afternoon, pick up my CSA and go to Fiber Fun at the fiber studio.

Wednesday is aquafit, knitting group at the library, and DKG meeting in the afternoon.

Thursday--yoga class in the morning, and date night with dh (dinner at the farmers market)

Friday is aquafit and grocery store. Then girls' night out with DKG sisters at one member's lake house! Spending the night and going to the state meeting in the morning.

Each day I will be doing a little paperwork, phone calls, etc. relating to my mom's death. I try to tackle just a little every day so as not to be overwhelmed.

Tuesday- volunteer at shelter and try first attempt to make sauerkraut in a mason jar

Wednesday and Thursday- work at my part time job. I would also like to finish sewing a top I started in warmer weather. I would like to wear it yet this fall!

Friday- go up north for a day to see fall colors, hike by some waterfalls, lunch....

Saturday- probably either clean house or do some yard clean up. Maybe grocery shop?

Trying to also do a daily walk and strength exercises at least 4 more days ( goal is 5 days a week and I have got one day completed so far)

I cleaned all the spoiled food out of the refrigerator and freezer yesterday, so that fun job is done! Now we have a nice clean and empty fridge and freezer!
Not really looking forward to it, but things have to be done. We'll have estimates for new screens for our pool cage (thanks Irma), someone is coming to check our solar system (thanks Irma) and our roof (thanks Irma). We'll also have a guy come cut up the downed tree (yep, thanks Irma).
On a better note, the guys will come finish up our kitchen, painting the wall, inside arch, and baseboard.
One thing we usually do every week that won't happen is go to the beach. They are telling people to stay out of the water right now . Too much 'stuff' in the water, who knows what. Icky stuff.
After hurricanes are not fun. But at least we have electricity now - it came back late Sunday! Yay!!

Well all the plans I had posted for Tuesday through the rest of the week are now pending. DH and I are waiting for a tow truck. Car just broke down on the freeway as we were heading to DS house to make applesauce.

Oh well new car shopping was on our list of things to do. The car that broke down was Mom's and our second house car.

My plans

Clip to ScrapBook #29

I am having a busy week, with things added in that I didn't expect. I've been to the vet twice with the cat. I need to take Trixie in to get her nails trimmed. So, here I sit on my tush.
Plans for the week...I subbed yesterday. Today I need to get a few groceries and work in the yard. My tomato plants are dying so I'm pulling the rest of the tomatoes off of the plants so they can ripen in the house. I also need to trim my rose bushes. I have choir practice tonight. Tomorrow I am mentoring a self-contained special ed teacher. Friday the tree guy comes to take down one tree and trim a couple of others. I need to clean the entire house and do laundry, too, then pack for FL.
So much fun.
