What are you happy about today?

Thursday evening I had a new TV stand delivered. Then Friday evening my new living room area rug arrived. My husband and I still don't have the TV stand assembled, but hopefully we will have time today. The colors are perfect and I am so happy with my Wayfair purchases.

My living room is a little dark as we have dark floors and a big shrunk (German closet/ cabinet) in dark oak on one wall. So I got a light colored rug where the background is linen and beige. Then there is a touch of teal in the rug which goes well with my aqua painted walls. It really does brighten the room. YEAH!

The TV stand is a cream color which helps lighten up all the dark wood. I am so happy with how it looks.

What are you happy about today? Share so we can all be happy for you.

I had a great score at the thrift store yesterday--a wooden (teak? It looks like another piece I have that I know for sure is teak. It was made in Thailand.) organizer, one of those ones with five big vertical slots that can hold files. I'm going to put it in my craft room for either paper or for crafting magazines. Price? $1. It was so clean, too, that I didn't even have to dust it!

One dollar! Can't beat that price unless it was free. Enjoy GlacierRose. It is always great to find a beautiful bargain. Teak is very expensive! (usually)

Right now I'm happy that I'm vertigo free for the moment and have felt like getting off the couch and doing odd jobs.

Hoping a good hot water heater will be delivered today.
It has been a long week with three damaged tanks. DH is a bit discouraged. Home Depot said they'd deliver this one free. Then DH has to install it.

Sun is shining...

OH MY Mhugs! Are you sure you want to buy one form Home Depot? I would be concerned at this point. What if it is damaged but you just don't see the damage?

I hope it is in perfect condition and can be installed easily and quickly. Then you can enjoy having hot water again.

I am glad you are feeling normal today with no vertigo.

I have a friend who lives near enough that I walked to her house this morning for coffee on her front porch. She's usually not available weekends and I live in a rural area so walking is kind of a novelty. I felt wonderful!

I'm happy that I have cleaned out three more garbage bags of cloths from my closet and drawers. Not finished purging yet but the dent is becoming visable

Glacier rose I too LOVE going "hunting" at thrift shops. Our second home is decorated almost entirely with inherited and FOUND pieces. I found an antique high chair and school desk this summer. I paid $1 for each. I have the school desk in my craftroom/sunporch overlooking the lake. My DGDS love to craft at the desk.

My husband and I are full-time RVers and have been on the road for 4 months. We are back in our home town for six weeks so he can help with harvest on our family farm. I am happy that tonight we are going to meet our best friends at church tonight and then go out to eat.

I am happy that I (think) I have my serger set up to do a cover stitch and it is going to work! I signed up for a class on how to use the cover stitch creatively so I needed to get it threaded for the class. Even though the class has been postponed for a week, I am excited to learn some new ways to use my serger.

I'm happy that I got to spend time visiting with relatives today. We had a woodland animal themed shower for my niece. Her daughter will arrive in Nov. The decorations were so stinking cute. Even had a hedgehog cheeseball. It was such a pleasant time.

I'm happy that our 2 day neighborhood garage sale is over, especially since it's been over 90 degrees each day. I'm also happy that we made about $250 from my classroom library, children will be reading some well loved books, and my husband just had to carry 3 boxes of unsold books downstairs.

GlacierRose my DIL had all teak furniture, very mid century mod stuff. My DS took several of their pieces after they past away. Teak makes furniture classic. Sounds like you scored as well! Storage pieces in craftrooms are essential.

I've been putting off a 4,000 word piece I promised a friend I'd write about 6 months ago. All about my year plus with cancer and my new life afterward. I finally finished it today and after DH. and DD read and comment, I can send it off. It's going into a journal for a community of nuns in northern CA, but it apparently has a wider circulation than just them.

Good to have it off my desk. Now I return to my novel and the final touches on my travel journal.

Happy! 💕

I'm happy my dog did well in obedience training today.
And I enjoyed chatting with my training friends and seeing their dogs do well, too!
Reading about everyone's happy moments here on PT makes me even happier! Thank you, 1956BD, for this post.

1. Grandson can be trusted to explore the farm with minimal supervision. We have two Pyranees puppies he is in charge of caring for.
2. Cooler weather is coming.
3. DH ' s toe is healing.
4. We've decided to apply for a loan to get a small tractor so next year I can have a garden again, and a pumpkin patch for kids.

Ok, my response is a little late, but I am oh so very, very thankful that today is Monday. My 92 year old dad is going to have his aortic valve replaced on Thursday. If he didn't have it done NOW he'd be dead in another 2 months. I have been living with him for the last three months (he is so weak unable to do anything) and I will get to go home two weeks after his surgery. Doctor doing the surgery is experienced but Pop will be the very first one at this hospital to have the TAVR done. Talk about fanfare and kid gloves! Just so thankful for so much!
