To make a long post shorter, I met a second cousin who saved her own life with dna testing from Walgreens. She sent her taw data to a company that let her know Plavix is toxic to her, she stopped taking it and she got out of intensive care! She would have died without the info.

What a great hobby. Through genealogy, I discovered that Type I diabetes was prevalent in my maternal line going back to the late 1800's.

There is a board dedicated to genealogy in the special interest section. Come over and join us!

I just temporarily canceled my ancestry subscription. I'm waiting until more records come online. I have only a few brickwalls. Ancestry was giving me the hints that I originally put on, so it was getting tedious.

Consider making family history books using your genealogy!

I think I will do that!

I have so many relatives in my mother's line that would be interested.

I learned a lot from my cousin and I am meeting her tomorrow to compare notes. I'm so excited!!! My husband is saved from my prattling!!!

If you would like a pdf of the chapter from my book on how to write a family history book, send me your email in a private message. Sorry, it will be a month before I can get it to you, though, since I leave on vacation tomorrow morning.
