VENUS!!!

Oy. We are studying Marco Polo, and this is an answer one of the kids gave me.

Oh my word. Makes you wonder if child was even in the room when you were teaching.

Sagan says Venus is dry, hot, and sandy... a lifeless planet.

Seems the student must be studying planets. He just made the wrong connection.

I googled it. The student was correct! I hope he doesn't have a parent that will question you about it. I can just hear it now, "Did the question say what do you call a hot, dry, sandy region that Marco Polo traveled to? " Those were the kind of days that make you want to pull your hair out.

OTOH, if you ever write a book you have one more story to tell.

I hope you have a great weekend, you've earned it.
