Recording Read Alouds

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Many of us want to maintain connection with our students by recording books to share with the class. If you record yourself reading a book and uploaded it to share, be sure to take it down when we go back to school. Normally, publishers would consider this practice a copyright violation. However, they have relaxed the copyright policies since all schools are closed. Here is an article about where each publishing company stands: https://www.katemessner.com/publishe...hool-closures/.

Thanks for posting! Wow! I never thought it would matter if it was a closed platform like Google Classroom! I will definitely look into the policies and then make sure to remove it when we are back in school if necessary.

I have a librarian friend who is reading for kids in her school posted that Scholastic books is allowing their books to be read online now. Also Patricia Paolucci granted permission for hers.
