another google classroom question

I'm playing around with Google Classroom for the first time - I teach all subjects to the same group of students. Which is easier/better - setting up one class per subject or just one class for everything?

I'm leaning towards one class per subject to make organization easier, but having never done this before, I don't know if that's actually easier.

Thanks!

I do one class and then I do topics. I do a new topic for everything. For example, everytime we start a new lesson in math, I start a new topic (mult/dvision, fractions, etc). When we do a new skill or strategy in reading, I start a new topic.

I do keep certain things pinned at the top. Kid can click on the topic and it will take them right to it. GC will automatically put your newest topic on the top.

I know teachers who do a new class for reading and math, but I think that's confusing and a lot to manage.

I am just now learning how to use topics. Greyhound Girl's idea is a good one.

I've always had one class for the subjects I need on GC-- grammar, writing, math, science, social studies. My brain prefers to see things totally separate, and ideally, on one page. I did make a school closure class to house all subjects (as topics) and I will see which works best.

Before we left for our long break (3 weeks), we made a Team 7 Remote Learning site that has all our assignments. It's neat because we can all see who's working and who isn't, who has checked in with our check-in question, etc.
