Crisis averted!

I am completely out of chocolate. This is serious. I do have some cocoa though.

I was thinking of making a pan of brownies...but I am low on butter, sugar, and eggs.

And then I remembered those microwave mug cakes! I found one that only uses 2 tsp of sugar.

No milk or veggie oil, but I used flax milk and coconut oil. Put a dollop of peanut butter in the middle. Perfect! Satisfied my craving without using up my scarce ingredients.

What creative and satisfying cooking have you done lately with pantry items?

Oh my gosh, this was my fear! And I canít eat dairy, so I have to buy special allergy friendly chocolate. I snagged this last dairy free bar at my grocery store last week and then also got 3 bags of chocolate chips just today I made pseudo-peanut butter/Hershey kiss cookies with almond butter and my DF chips.

Iím glad you were able to fulfill that craving!

I did not want to use three on a chocolate cake mix. I used one egg and dollops of sour cream. Turned out great!

I think I remember reading on PT that eating sauerkraut will curb the craving for chocolate. If you run out of ingredients you can try that.

I have a big jar of homemade purple cabbage sauerkraut in my fridge. I might need to resort to that.

Just put in an online order from this shop: https://thefudgeshoppe.com/
The shop is in NJ and we had an order shipped to Oregon. It came in just a few days and was delicious.
