Anyone have a tried and true cleaner for their oven? I had a meatball fiasco and my oven has grease everywhere. It has a self cleaner but Iím scared of starting a fire so Iíd like to clean some off before I use the self clean. Thanks for all ideas!

Do you have Dawn Dish Soap?

It is really good for cleaning greasy messes.

If you don't have Dawn then try this natural cleaning. Afterwards use the self cleaning option if you need better results.

Have you used the auto clean before? If not, you may want to check with a repair place and ask if they frequently see problems with it in your model. My sisterís oven had an expensive part need replacing after she used the auto clean. Repair guy said it happens with that model all the time!

EZ Off fume free oven cleaner that is used in a cold oven.

I went to a demo of Wolf appliances. They told us not to use the clean oven mode to often because after years it may make it necessary to have the thermostat replaced. They recommended the EZ Off. I do like it. It can be used on the racks too.
