Google Classroom Question

Sorry to keep asking technology questions!

Anyway, is there a way on Google Classroom to make me a student in my classroom as well as a teacher? Or to create a fake student? I'd like to do a screen cast to show students how to turn in an assignment, and then screen looks different from the teacher's stand point than a student's standpoint. We've done it in class a few times, and I showed the kids again on Monday and Tuesday and had them practice, but so many were absent and some can't remember. If I could make a screen shot showing the student view, that would help so much!

Anyone who has the access code can log in so you can create a fake student, but I just walk the kids through because the screens donít look that different. If you do it as theyíre doing it they should be fine.

Thanks. It's just that on the teacher page for turning in, there is a chart with each kid's name and attachment. The students don't see that, they see a button that they click and add the assignment and then click turn in. I wanted to show them how to click that button, attach and click turn in, but it doesn't show on the teacher page. I'm hoping our tech person has screen shots on her parent/student e-learning help page.

I added my personal email as a student in my accounts so that I can show kids what things look like from their end. I know that some organizations don't allow that, but ours did. It is very helpful in showing kids how to do quite a few things.

THen I just have to make sure I am logged into my personal account on a tab so that I can access the classroom to use as an example.

Thanks, I'll try this if our tech specialist doesn't have a video or handout available.

My school does not allow anyone outside our domain to join our Google Classrooms. I had to have our tech guys creat a student account for me so I could join using the school domain.

Ask a kids if you can log in as them

We left quite abruptly. I didnít have the chance to show kids everything I needed to share. I emailed the entire class and asked permission to log in as one of them. As soon as the kids volunteered I doubled checked with the parent just to be safe. I told them when I was logging as them and made sure to thank them in my video. It worked for what I needed.

I know that in the People tab (Student View), the students can email anyone that is part of the Classroom. Has anyone of them tried emailing you? I wonder if your personal email address would be revealed to them?
