What have you cleaned/organized so far?

I have a long list, but so far I've cleaned out our game/coat closet, the pantry, under and behind the sofa, and my ridiculous stash of bags. I think tomorrow will either be the entryway or my tiny craft/office supply cabinet.

*2 closets
*spare bedroom
*under bathroom sinks

I may do my closet, although it's not really that bad. I'm sure once I get started I'll find a ton I should get rid of.

Lost the urge...

Since last week was spring break and we couldn't do anything, I was organizing then. Now that remote learning has started, I've lost the desire to organize!

garage
spare bedroom large closet

Hoping to tackle all my Christmas stuff by the end if the weekend. I just threw it upstairs in a spare bedroom when I took it down. I want to get rid of a bunch I don't use anymore and then organize it the way I used to have it!

I began my home declutter about one year ago when I retired. It took me about one year to get my home cleaned out. I am working on my home files as a last project . When I bought a new up to date looking file cabinet I transferred files to it and realized I don't need a lot of what was in the old file! Good luck to all as you clean out your homes

*I updated and added to my ďWhen Iím DeadĒ notebook.

*I cleaned out the drawers in my entry table.

*I wish someone would sit with me while I tried on every item of clothing and tell me what to discard. I love clothes and have so much trouble parting with them.

yep, teddi!

there are soooo many things that can be organized/cleaned/put away....i thought i would get so much done--turns out i just don't WANT to do it! this week is our spring break and last week was our first off--and we were told to do no teaching.

but...i did clean the oven (but still haven't wiped the ashes out--4 days later).
and i thoroughly wiped down all the lower cabinets, front of stove, and all around the bottom of the kitchen island---where sodas have fallen and splashed and food has dropped and splattered. gross....

but i WILL be getting to so many things---i don't want to come out of this and have nothing to show for it (but my health, of course)

I did a deep clean and organization of my pantry, kitchen and garage refrigerators/freezers. I inventoried everything so I'm not buying repeats. I've made a 3-week dinner menu from what we have.

I tend to do,this all year when the mood hits, so not much left to dig into. But I did go through all my earrings. I have a tiny box for tiny posts, a bigger box for larger, post backed ones, and a large hanger for all my wires.

Tossed all the imitation ruby and diamond studs, repaired (and sadly broke one) a few pairs. Found some I thought I had lost.

WesrCoastTch, how did you document your inventory? Did you have a fill in document or just created a list? Interested in doing this when I get to the kitchen purge! Thanks!

So far I have:
-cleaned and organized my walk-in closet
-cleaned and organized our hallway cabinets
-cleaned and organized the office/craft closet
-cleaned out and shredded old files
-trimmed all bushes in front yard

Today it's a sunny, beautiful day! Think I'll take a day off from cleaning and go for a nice, long bike ride!

Does washing the shower curtain count?

I've only done typical housework so far, but there are some closets I'd like to clean.

Nothing. I've been such a slacker! I had ambitious plans of cleaning and organizing, but nada. I hope this thread will motivate me to get started!

I haven't done much. I'm too busy with this online teaching adjustment to be very productive.
  • organized master closet
  • cleaned master bedroom & replaced rugs
  • cleaned den carpet

Inventory

Teachnkids on piece of paper I made 3 columns for frozen items: meat, vegetables, other. I don't have a huge pantry so I didn't need an inventory. I mixed and matched from frozen and pantry items to create my dinner menu. I add fresh fruits and vegetables depending what I have on hand.

I decluttered my guest room/junk room in order to set that up as my office/classroom for virtual learning.

We're still spending a lot of time creating packets and preparing for virtual learning. We've had several zoom meetings with grade level teams and principals, as well as training with tech guys.
