Healthy at Home

Our govenor refers to all this craziness as "healthy at home " instead of shelter in place or whatever. I think I'm doing it wrong. The most exercise I've had today is folding some towels and walking from the couch to the kitchen. I went to the kitchen for a pear. I came back with a handful of Cadbury mini eggs and a soda. There is nothing healthy about me being at home today

I don't feel very healthy at home either. I'm having a hard time maintaining my calorie count and doing any exercise too. I did fine the first week, but have deteriorated for the last few days. I don't think it had anything to do with the official order since I was already home and I do like the name over "shelter in place" though.

Our governor calls it "Stay Home- Stay Healthy."

Yeah. Not healthy for me, either! (Although I did walk long distances the past two days!) No Cadbury eggs here, but we finished off the double stuff Oreos yesterday.

I see a lot of "Stay Home -- Protect Don't Infect" around here

That is hilarious ! I am glad I'm not the only one who has good intentions but gets sidetracked by those yummy temptations. I can completely sympathize.

We're out of candy and almost out of flour, so I can't bake today. DH and I finished off a batch of cookies in 2 days. I'm hoping at some point I'll get motivated to exercise to at least balance out the extra eating!

I've actually had an easier time sticking to my calorie goals. It's usually social situations that trip me up, and well, there aren't any of those anymore. I also frequently get tempted to pick up take out on my way home from work, especially if the day was stressful, and I think that temptation is less because I'm not out to begin with. We start online learning next week and I wonder if that will make things worse/I'll be tempted to stress eat. I am being very consistent with getting my steps on my fitbit as well- it helps me to have a goal to work towards each day/feel somewhat more productive.

It's "Safer at Home" here. I guess our governor knows that Wisconsinites will probably be consuming lots of cheese curds, bratwurst and fish fry and will be drinking beer and Old Fashioneds. I'm trying to do better than that and take a walk every day, but my self-discipline varies from day to day.
