Fanatics, the sports jersey company, is making gowns and masks out of sports jersey material.

I am so in love with the companies who are repurposing. Ford, 3M, and GE are working together to make respirators and ventilators. That really makes my heart sing.

My parentsí generation, ďThe Greatest Generation,Ē repurposed factories during WWII to build arms, ships, and planes. Now itís our turn.

(Please forgive any typos, Iím sobbing as I write this.)

Letís go.

It is heartwarming. BAUER, a Canadian hockey equipment maker, is making face guards for hospital personnel.

today. Just a phone call checking in.

I received a request though a club for elastic and sewing thread to be sent to our local hospital. I thought that was odd. I asked her about it. She and other retired hospital workers have been going to a closed off room at the hospital with their sewing machines. They have been able to get the material for surgical masks and have been sewing masks by the hundreds for the hospital employees. Now they are on to bonnets, gowns and who knows what next.

So, my extra thread is now gone to them, and a hospital former employee who wants to sew but had no machine picked up mine from my porch.

*Now small companies found that they can make masks for medical staff. The new info. is that the virus can enter the body through the eyes and now the medical staff all need eye protections.
