We just moved mom in with us for the duration. I just couldn't let her stay in her senior residence when I have a bedroom, a family room and a bathroom for her. We're home, and it was even my husband who brought it up first. She can't negotiate the stairs, which is why she doesn't live with us, but we can manage for now. Feeling relieved, and boy, did she have a stash of chocolate!!!!

That is great that you can have her at home with you. It is definitely a relief to have your loved ones with you.

My MIL had been living with her daughter in Texas since her husband (my FIL) died in December. She came to visit for a couple of weeks on March 9, and couldn't go back to Texas due to the caronavirus. She's here indefinitely. It's okay with me and DH. We're glad to know she's safe and healthy.

We moved my 90 yr old dad in with us too. His senior residence was no longer allowing visitors or even much interaction among the residents.
I understand why they had to do it but thatís no way for a 90 yr old to live.

I am glad you were able to move your mom in with you. Maybe a chair lift on the steps help with her using steps. My aunt & uncle have one in their own. My parents neighbors also had one installed.
