1,000 days for us too!

Since it is the 5th graders 1,000th day of education we focus on that number instead. Here are the stations we do-
-Think of an activity you think you could do for 1,000 minutes. Figure out how long 1000 minutes is in hours. NOW, do you still think you could do your activity?
-Think all the way back to your first days in school. Write about one of your very favorite school memories.
-If I had a dollar for each day I have been in school -----
-Find the prime factorization for the number 1,000.
-Write all the factors for 1000.
-1,000 pennies-how much money is it worth? How tall is a stack of 1,000 pennies in cm? How much would 1,000 pennies weigh? Grab 20 pennies and make a bar graph by dates on the pennies. (I only give them 20 pennies to find all of these answers)
