My weight has gone up and down so much over the past year that it makes my head spin. Steroids have really played a huge part in my inability to lose weight. This past week I have really done well sticking a strict eating plan, with more calories in the morning and fewer calories in the afternoon and evening. I have lost 6 pounds. I am eating 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks a day. My only processed carb is a bowl of oatmeal in the morning. I have allowed a couple of cheat meals (only one serving, though) the past week. I joined a new gym and will start there tomorrow. I am in PT twice a week to strengthen my hips and right knee. I will be in PT through the end of the month. It is now all about me!

Yay! You're doing great! 6 pounds is a lot. Take it easy now at the gym...and wow....you're doing it! I'm sure losing some weight and being able to exercise again will help with the aches and pains. Just take it slowly and pat yourself on the back...good job!

Congratulations, Kathy! Hooray for you! I am working to lose weight, too. It sure is a challenge when we get to be "of a certain age." I admire your persistence. Keep up the good work!
