Podcast recommendations......

I'm taking a 6.5 hour drive by myself next weekend, and I would love to listen to a podcast on the way. I've only listened to "Office Ladies" (two of the actresses from The Office -- very cute and fun). I like comedy, and I like true crime. I don't really know what else is out there.

What podcasts do you listen to, that you would recommend for a road trip?

The only podcast I listen to is ďoffice LadiesĒ. I was going to recommend that and then I continued to read your post.

I will be following this thread as apparently I need some recommendations as well

One that I've really enjoyed is Harry Potter and the Sacred Text. I'd recommend it even if you don't particularly enjoy Harry Potter, as they approach the text using methods traditionally used for analyzing religious texts and I loved learning about the approach and applying it to other texts. They run a company called Not Sorry Productions and do other podcasts as well and I've enjoyed all I've listened to.

I also like true crime. I happened upon True Crime Brewery podcasts and have enjoyed several of them this summer.

I have listened to "Stuff you Missed in History Class" for years now - well over a decade, so there's a huge backlist of topics to explore.

Criminalia (has one of the same hosts as "Stuff") is historical crime - they have explored pirates, witches, alchemy, women murderers. They're currently doing resurrectionists.

These are the two that get me through my drive to work. For a longer trip, I usually buy an audiobook.

Besides a podcast you could also listen to an audio book.

Some true crime podcast suggestions:
Father Wants Us Dead
Murdaugh Murders
Counter Clock (Several seasons each focusing on one person.)

For comedy I listen to:
-How did this get Made: Three comedians discuss bad movies
-Brain Candy Podcast: two former reality members discuss interesting stories and studies
-Off Menu: two British comedians have a guest on and they discuss their favorite meals
