New house

I know some of you like looking at houses like I do.
I know some of you don’t like this style, but I love everything about this house—including the furniture.

What do you think?

I love it. Including the furniture too! I have a question though. How much privacy is there without blinds or covering of some sort? I’m thinking of the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Yeah, I wondered about that, especially the bathtub by the window.

I like many features about the house...I'm thinking that it might be a little too 'transparent' in places for my tastes. I am not fond of cleaning glass.

It's fantastic and I would love to stay there on vacation. I prefer a more country kind of look (think beige, burgundy, lots of wood, antique wooden furniture, old glass bottles for decor). But I LOVE that pool.

It is a gorgeous house. The absence of window treatments would be an issue for me.

The house and its views are breathtaking. I'd be happy to live there, but I'd feel like I was always in an expensive resort hotel. Hard to imagine young children and intimate family get togethers. It feels more like a staged house than a home.

onion girl, yes! I love all the views, but I covet the one from the kitchen sink. Can you imaging washing vegetables and looking up at that?

Great views, love the pool. Not my style, but I can appreciate the aesthetic of it. And soooo much closer to my budget at a price of $10 million instead of the last big one I saw, which was $45 million.

It is the exact opposite of the house I have now but I don't hate it.

Like a pp said, it would feel like staying at a resort or hotel more than a family home.

As to the glass, washing windoows is a non issue for them as I assume someone living like that probably has a cleaning staff for that.

I wonder if the window glass has some technology that dim, blacken, or turn them into one way glass??

Love the house. If you can afford it, you probably won't be the one cleaning windows.

I always wonder about the sliding glass walls. They look great. But how do you keep the critters from running into the house?

I love it.

As far as window treatments, there might be remote control hidden shades. I’ve seen them in contemporary houses before.

I like the views and the Pool. The rest really isn’t my style. It’s beautiful, though.

I absolutely love everything about it. I just need someone to clean it. And my family can't move in with me because they'll bring their clutter with them I'm going to ignore that I would feel on display with all the glass and hope there are fancy hidden automatic shades on all the windows.

Nice find, Amiga! The only kind of modern I like is “beach modern”. It’s a “definitely maybe” for me but it’s 100% my DH’s style. He’d love it. I prefer more of a Nantucket style: cedar shake, cottage gardens, light, bright, airy, etc. But if this house was gifted to me how could I say no?

Love the view, pool, and backyard.

It’s not my style but it is a lovely home for someone who can afford a couple housekeepers!

It looks like it isn't overlooked much by neighbours, so maybe privacy isn't an issue. But all that glass would make it a nightmare to heat. Or doesn't it ever get cold there?

It's not my style - way too modern, but it's a lovely home for the right person.

Looking at the price- I bet it has something for privacy. I love the house, but I would need a live in house cleaner if I lived there- so many windows and so much glass!
