Reading Reward Ribbons/Stickers...
Old 08-01-2008, 06:04 PM

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Where can I find them? I've found some in a package with other subject areas, but not any by themselves. Anybody have a good source?

I want a small but nice rewarding award to give students when they score well on some of their reading tests. Any other thoughts of what to use?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I was at the dollar store called Deals today and they have award certificates, and they also have little paper badges in a pack of 16 for a dollar too. These come in different styles...one was a bear w/ two bees and it sayed Bee-utiful work. Another had a star w/ blue ribbons hanging from it...I think it said Awesome work.
Not sure if that is what you are looking for or not. They also had postcard type notes some said "A note from your teacher", another said, Welcome to my class and there were others.
They have stickers, name plates, die-cut packs w/ themes such as birthday, school, and one had all the U.S. symbols (flag, statue of liberty, liberty bell, uncle sam hat...etc.).

I don't know of a Deals store around here, but I will check our dollar stores. Thanks for your reply!

I have downloaded generic awards, half-page size, and I have several to choose from. I let the student choose which one, and I complete the information and sign it. Because I had printed it, the student looks forward to being able to color it before showing his/her parents. I teach 3rd grade special reading, and all my students seem excited to be able to color their own award.
