does anyone know where I can order specific colors of unifix cubes? I just need red and blue, about 100 of each. Our math book uses these 2 colors as examples and I want a set of 10 of each for each student. I have a box of the mixed colors.

Good luck. I do think children are flexible enough to be able to do this with two different colors even if they aren't blue and red. Just modeling with other colors (orange and black, etc) might be sufficient for the majority of them. What is the math program you are using?

Does anyone else think it is weird that these come in a 90 peice set? Are there 9 groups of 10 or 10 groups of 9? More reds or more blues? Not designed by a teacher for sure.

I agree with the last poster...I bet your students will do fine with fuschia and orange. You might want to save your reds and blues for the ones who are super concrete in their thinking. (Of course, I've had years when it feels like that is everyone!)
