Why do they stop making perfect products?

Let me amend, why do they stop making perfect products just when I need a refill/replacement?

I admit I’m not in tune with “the latest,” but really..... I finally found the perfect shower curtain liner (of course, getting the only one at at TJ Maxx is a sure sign of doom) and was willing to pay more for a lifetime supply. Nope. No more.

When I found perfect shower curtain hooks, at least I bought a back-up set before I recommended them to h0kie.

Does this happen to you, too? Are you mourning the perfect product?

Yes, I'm mourning the fact that they seem to have discontinued the Lean Cuisine enchilada verde. It was vegetarian and actually tasted great. And I'm also still mourning that Bain de Terre discontinued my favorite hair product All Day Straight awhile ago. I still search once in awhile hoping they will bring it back.

I have a Shark Sonic Duo floor scrubber carpet cleaner that I really like. I've had it several years now. A bottle of solution used to go for about 10 to $15 and you could find it in several stores. Now on Amazon they want $99 for a bottle! I did find it on some Outlet site and bought a bottle for about $20. I was just happy it showed up as I didn't have full faith in a random website I'd never heard of before haha.

You make the solution from concentrate so I have the bottle that goes in the machine. Trying to figure out if there's a different solution I can use that will still work the same way.

Pantene recently discontinued the Pro-V Root Lifter Spray Gel. I've used it for years, and it really works well with my short haircut. It disappeared suddenly this spring at every location where I used to find it, so I finally emailed the company. Yep--discontinued. Arrgh.

I absolutely love the Sandalwood Rose body spray from Bath and Body Works. They discontinued the fragrance but still have lotion and shower gel. The gel and lotion are ok, but not what I want. I bought as many of the body sprays as I could when I learned it was going to be discontinued and I used it sparingly.

Then someone told me that it will begin to spoil or lose it scent after awhile. What!? Iím bummed and started to use it more often. Iíd rather enjoy it while I can than open a bottle and spray stink! I have two bottles left.

I am not the only one who likes this scent. Iíve seen bottles of it for sale at $500 a pop!

Old school here....when I was teaching, I really missed using my Polaroid camera. It was instantaneous and I could quickly use photos for decor, projects, or just to give to kids. The film, if itís even available at all anymore, is around $400.

I also miss Victoria Secrets Mandarin Jewels (?) scent. It was an amber and orange citrus that was really scrumptious. Also bath and body works Juniper Breeze. Really smelled like the coast.

Maybelline Babylips lip balm in the color "berry soft" is perfect for my coloring, but is unavailable now unless I would be willing to pay something crazy like $40 (probably more by now) a tube on eBay now

I also liked Juniper Breeze, Keltikmom! And if Lush ever brings back their Sweet Japanese Girl facial cleaner, I would stock up! It made my skin glow!

I miss Ocean Spray Blueberry Lemonade pouches that you put in a bottle of water. I bought 10 boxes off of ebay when I found it,but they are long gone. Why!? I loved that drink. I drank so much water because of it.

My husbandís cologne that he wore when we met and dated...Avon discontinued it about 3 years later, just after we married. I bought up all I could find on eBay, etc. We have about 5 bottles left. I occasionally we search online again and find one here or there, of course about 4 times the original price!

making things that I ordered once or twice. Just this past year, Vera Wang Corduroy Leggings bit the dust. Luckily, I own nine pairs in two sizes. Also a style of Skechers shoes that I JUST discovered fit perfectly. I managed to get two pairs. Oh, don't get me started.

I have been unable to find Snapple raspberry iced tea in the dollar store and gas stations.

I can still get it in a 6-pack at Wal Mart, but I only need it for a monthly treat. I donít do soda or other sugared drinks as a rule.

A gas station by work has a raspberry syrup you can put in tea. I may start doing that.

the stuff I like because I like things that apparently most people don't. I am also not a frequent shopper these days. We used to shop at a nearby town every Friday after work/school was out. Now we put it off as long as possible and try to shop locally whenever possible, which limits our choices quite a bit. I do confess to some online shopping which has the same problem. Things I like to buy or that I have found that fit through trial and error, are routinely discontinued so I have to begin the hunt all over again.

Orowheat used to make an English muffin-like biscuit called Australian Toaster biscuits. They were softer, yummy and perfect with Eggs Benedict, n wrestling with a knife. Sent the Orowheat folks an email and yep they're gone.

Actually, I'm *literally* missing a Perfect product. Old Navy used to make the "perfect fit tee" long sleeved and short sleeved. It truly was perfect for me! LOVED that shirt SO. MUCH. It was discontinued several years ago and I'm still sad about it. So are a number of other people. I wish they'd bring it back. Their other versions are not the same. https://www.facebook.com/oldnavy/pos...3617254002021/

The label on the shirt (no tag, but tagless label) said "Perfect"-- and it was right.

I also miss Jello Pudding Pops something fierce! I have written to them before to bring them back

Skechers made a woman's Interactive Shoe that I absolutely love. I think they still make a version of it, but it's not the same. I really wish they had that other shoe still.

Nuetrogena lotions. First I loved the sesame lotion. It smelled so good and was just light on the skin. Then I used their Norwegian Formula lotion. Now I can't find either. I am in mourning for them.

Chickadees from Target

Target made their own brand of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, they were called Chickadees. They were thinner and tastier than Goldfish. I was addicted to them. A few years ago they stopped making them.

I'm not happy about Old Navy's tees either! They've made their shirts shorter, and they just do not fit as well as they used to. Another product we miss is Kettle Chips Cheddar Beef flavor. For some reason, they stopped making this flavor. Trust me, people, it was good! Actually, it's probably better for my bottom line that they DON'T make this flavor anymore!

I forgot all about creme savers. I used to love those.

When I was pregnant with my daughter (26 years ago) I developed tendonitis. The doctor recommended I use myoflex, an analgesic cream to help with the pain. I started to use the stuff for a variety of aches and pains. I used it for many years and can no longer find it.

I used to have the perfect Merrell barefoot shoes. They fit like a glove, were super lightweight and yet perfect for mountain trail running and hiking on very slippery scree. I had three pairs and when they wore out I tried out the same shoes in the store. They were the exact same model and size, but the fit was terrible. It was no longer the same shoe.

I never did get around to trying Flying Fox in my Lush addict days...But if either Sweet Japanese Girl or their Silky Underwear perfume would come back, I'd be at the store in a hearbeat
I'm still hopeful, sometimes they bring back old favorites for a limited run around the holidays....

Also love Intense Pickle Doritos, but it seems they stopped making them too.

The oldest one I mourn is the L'oreal Quick Stick Foundation. I loved that & got so many compliments on my skin when I used it. Don't know why they discontinued it, but it's been years.

A new disappeared product is my favorite breakfast bar, Nature Valley Soft Baked Oatmeal Squares in the Banana Bread, Chocolate Chip flavor. They weren't always easy to find but Target usually carried them. NONE of the Targets near me have them anymore. Don't know what I'll do if I can't find them by the time school starts. It's my go-to, easy-peasey breakfast for this non-morning person!

Triscuit Thin Crisps ~ I never can find my flavor in store. Online, it says Sour Cream & Chive but I swear it used to be Sour Cream & Onion.

DD misses the Baked Lays Chips in the sour cream & onion also. You can get the reg baked chips, bbq baked chips, cheddar baked chips but not the one she wants! Luckily, the Subway by us has them so when I go there, I buy, like 5 individual bags for DD.

Linda/OH ~ The WW yogurt is another fave that is gone. They were so good, creamy, great flavors...
