I don't understand this part. I guess it doesn't work this way in my state. Why is your credential not valid?
Since moving is definitely an option, you may want to apply to low income larger urban districts, which often have high teacher turnover. I did that 32 years ago, thinking I would get some experience and move to a more "preferred" school. Well, I never left! I lfell in love with the kids, their families, and the whole community. I felt I could make so much more of a difference living in the area and working with more needy kids.
Do you have ESL certification? You would be hired in a hot minute in my state.
