Clip to ScrapBook #1

Greetings! I hope this note finds you all well rested and ready for Monday! =) I teach the first grade and I know this is last minute, but I was hoping that someone on here knew of a poem or a song that my students could sing for the closing of our Black History Program. Our skit is on Famous Black Americans and I thought it would be nice to end it off with a nice poem or song. Any feed back is greatly appreciated. Thank You In Advance, ~Ms.Abc~

Did you ever find a poem or song?

I noticed this is from last February. I used a little song for JrH/HS drama kids. We opened with it then did poetry from Langston Hughes, Maya A, and others. Our song was from James Taylor. Not sure the name of it but it starts out "Let us turn our thoughts today,
to Martin Luther King"...I love this song. If next year's first graders can't sing it- maybe they could do movements to it or sign it in ASL.
