Well after waiting for over three weeks finally today I got a call from the district offering me the position.
The principal finally told me "unofficially" on Wednesday - but today I got the call after school.
So to all of you who are waiting - keep the faith and know that it will happen.
Looking back - this was how it was suppose to go. If I would have found something earlier I wouldn't have been able to help my Mom when she needed me. I would have been at another school that is falling apart and is a miserable place to work. AND most of all I would not have the chance to work with a very welcoming staff and principal who is an amazing leader.

So I have been in the position since the day before school started. Just waiting to be interviewed and then to hear if I would be offered the position. Only took about a month to hear.
I have an amazing group of second graders along with a very supportive group of parents. I am so blessed and lucky to have this group.
I told the kids on Monday and they were excited along with the parents. Relieved too.
Now I have been trying to survive all the endless paperwork that goes along with a new hire.
But I am very happy that I will now have my own classroom and look forward to 2014.
