I started this short long term subbing last week Wednesday. The teacher had left me a skeleton lesson plan , not detailed lesson plan. So it is a lot of work for me.

When I got home from work Friday, I started preparing Lang. Art for the next week. I worked on it even in the middle of the night and finalized it the next morning (Sat) so that I can forget about all that and focus on things I need to do.

Last Friday, I gave the kids the art project the teacher had left. Yes, I did all the cutting and trimming at home and gave them to cut a hole in the middle of XMas tree shape card stock that they glue it to another piece of same shape but no hole in the middle. The teacher said that their picture would be put in that hole. She didn't tell me when. It sounded like she would continue when she comes back. But she won;t be back till after New Year. Could this be the XMas gift for the parents form their kids?

I do not know whether I was supposed much beyond asking me at the last minutes to take the work home - I was subbing at the same school that day - by saying "what are you doing when you get home?"

Other teachers may be doing art project as XMas gift form the kids to their parents.

Should I ask next door teacher whether the kids are supposed to take those home?

Unless she left you the students' pictures, I'm not sure how it would be expected of you to complete the project since she will not be back. Hopefully the teacher next door can give you some help. Good luck!

If the grade level partner teacher cannot help you find the pictures,
I would have the office call the teacher to find out where the pictures are!
