How do you store ABC magnets?

I can't find a storage unit with 26 drawers to store various sizes of alphabet magnets. Ideally I would like one with pull-out drawers, where I can label with the letter so the students can put them away independently. Does anyone have one and where did you get it?

Have you checked at craft stores? They have lots of organizers like that to hold things like beads or thread.

or hardware stores - one of our kinder teachers has her letters (not magnetic, but small laminated ones) stored alphabetically--ea. letter has its own drawer--in a nuts and bolts organizer. They're great, but i'm not sure if drawers big enough for magnetic letters -i have some scholastic magnetics stored in a 'stack-on compartment' from Sears - i put the lowercase in one and the uppercase in another--they are $6.00/ea -only 17 compartments (not drawers), but i just label what letters go where.

I've seen fishing boxes used before. I actually have 2 bead containers from the craft store. They hold all of our letters plus all of the punctuation marks.

Really Good Stuff also has an organizer that isn't too expensive.

I store them in a flat fish tackle box w/the large lid-instead of one with little drawers. There are several compartments in there. You might need 2-one for lower case and one for upper case.

I found a Black and Decker small parts box that has four drawers in it. Thankfully it is VERY sturdy as those magnetic letters weigh a good bit. It is part of the Workmate Series and is 12" x7" x 9" approximately. Happy hunting. Sorry, I can't remember what I paid for it, but I am quiet certain that I found it at a Home Depot or Lowes.

How about shoe storage...like the kind that has pockets that you can hang up?

This is what I'm using for my making words letter pieces. Each pocket stores 2 letters (except for WXYZ all in one pocket). I labeled each pocket with thick foamy letters that I hot glued on.
