Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hi-
I want to make a slideshow for my class with musci to burn to a CD-R or DVD-R. I have had others do int in thepast, now I've got to learn! What is hte quickest and easiest way? I have looked at Smilebox- is it worth it? How about Windows Movie Maker?I can make a silent one with my Windows Media Player computer, but no music ( or can I?). Any suggestions are most welcome!thanks!

Have you tried using Photostory 3? You can download it for free. We use it to create our end of the year DVD gifts.

Photostory

I used Photostory. It is really easy to use. One of the teachers at my school even inserted some of her smilebox into the photostory that she made for the kids. I am going to play with that one because I don't know if they were collage pages, scrapbook pages, or slideshow pages. It is very easy to add music. I bought mp3 from walmart.com for 94 cents each. The only drawback to photostory is that it only saves it to play on a computer. After I saved each one, I had my dad use his burning software to convert it to a DVD. It took and hour and a half for each one. Of course, I did individual ones for each kid. Had I only done one for the entire class, I could have spent the hour and a half converting one and then just burn the one that I converted for the other 20. I tried using windows movie maker in the past and it was much more difficult (adding the music part) for me.

I also use Photostory and I purchased the DVD burning cd for $19.99 and it allows me to burn the DVD to be played in a dvd machine.

I have used photostory this year for the first time and made a wonderful end of year show with music and narration. Now I am curious as to how I could get it on DVD's. What is it exactly that you purchased and how did you get it to work. I have had a few parents ask for a copy and I have no idea how to go about it. Thanks

Thanks for all of your advice! I did download Photostory 3, but realized my computer has windows Moviemaker on it( great, huh? )and with some help from our technology person, it was easier for me to add music and to burn CD's. I am going to "play" with Photostory 3 this summer on a project without deadline. Thanks so much!
