Gifted educated- easiest job ever. Just sit and be devilís advocate on their projects, mostly computer games but also a couple of web sites for parentís businesses.

Those days are rare but so great when they crop up. I got a creative writing English class a few months ago and it was the most fun I've had at work in a long time. Got to just give them feedback on their short stories and basically shoot the #### with semi-passionate young writers. The following day, I was in a school where nobody wanted to be there; the difference was night and day. I get these AP/fun elective types maybe once or twice a month. It seems like their teachers never get sick or want to leave, presumably because when you're teaching kids who want to be there, the job actually isn't (as) emotionally draining.

Another Easy Day

Yes, I had a very easy day today. The kids were on task and very
well behaved. They were quiet and completed their work. I had a class in a school several blocks away a couple of weeks back, and it was very difficult. Life is weird. I'm praying for myself with a new class tomorrow.

Subbing for gifted kids is a fun and easy job for sure!

Teaching them is challenging...just not in the area of classroom management. Keeping up with those brains and their unique ways of thinking is quite a task.

(And we won't even discuss parent issues....)

I wish I had a class like that. I have TAG kids, but they are always in a class of 35 people and there will be about 5 of them.

I counted the working days left and with finals it is about 75 days. Don’t really know how I am going to make it that long. This has really been my my worst year for subbing, and that is saying a lot.
