Do you have children still at home? How many and how old? 1 daughter still at home, age 16. Two sons who are both married and living here in town

Do you have grandchildren? How many and how old? No

Do you have pets? How many and what kind? 2 dogs - 1 beagle and 1 pit bull

Where were you born? Daytona Beach, FL

In how many homes have you lived? 4

In how many cities/states/countries have you lived? 2, but the second one is in the Daytona area, so I guess I could say I have lived in the same city all of my life.

3. The first year I was in a resource room. The next 18 were in a private residential school for students with severe disabilities. The next 4 were as an itinerant teacher for students with physical disabilities. The last 14 were in a public school self-contained classroom for students with moderate to severe disabilities.

4. I enjoyed the last 14 in the self-contained classroom the most.

5. I was in at least 8 schools when I was itinerant, so that would be a total of 10 schools. I also did home bound services.

6. No children at home. My son moved out a little over 2 years ago.

7. No grandchildren.

8. I have an 8 1/2 year,old Yorkshire terrier and a 16 year old tabby/Siamese mix cat.

In how many schools did you teach? One school, one classroom, and I was a student teacher in that same classroom.

Do you have pets? Two hermit crabs. They were classroom pets and are loving retirement.

In how many cities/states/countries have you lived? Six states and Puerto Rico. My dad served in the Air Force. We lived in Florida, Nebraska, Puerto Rico, New York, Massachusetts, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

39 years before I retired. I count this year as 40 because I did teach a chemistry class to a couple of home schooled kids.

For how long have you been retired or if you are getting ready to retire, what is the anticipated date?
I retired last June, so one year.

What grades/subjects did you teach?
High school chemistry and environmental science. I did teach junior high science earlier in my career.

Which of those did you enjoy the most?
Teaching chemistry is my favorite, but I am really enjoying teaching Field Ecology to high schoolers in the summer at a local museum. It's tough teaching environmental science in a classroom, and much more fun in the out of doors!!

My kids are all grown up and on their own. Tasha is 42, Andy is 34, and Kati is 29.

Social Studies - Early American history through the Civil War. Passionate about that subject, especially government

This is my 4th year of retirement. (Said by a very happy person! )

I LOVED teaching 1st grade.

I taught in 3 different schools the first was an old small school that I was at for 8 years. Then I moved to open a new school then I moved to another new school to open it!

I still have 1 son living at home. He's 22.

No grandchildren yet.

I have an adorable 11 year old Maltese.

I have lived in 7 homes including college and pre-married life. We've lived in 2 houses since being married in 1982.

How many years did you teach (or will you have taught when you retire this year)? Taught for 30 years, but not all consecutive. Took a break in late 70's and early 80's.

For how long have you been retired or if you are getting ready to retire, what is the anticipated date? This is the end of my second year of retirement, so since June of 2014.

What grades/subjects did you teach? Elementary, all subjects. Taught K-1, 2, 3, 4 (Mostly third)

Which of those did you enjoy the most? Definitely third. Hands down.

Do you have children still at home? How many and how old? Have two grown step-daughters and two of my own (daughter, 30 and son, 25)

Do you have grandchildren? How many and how old? Eldest stepdaughter has 14 year old and 4 year old boys. Second stepdaughter has two daughters: aged 6 and 4.

In how many homes have you lived? Too many to count. At least 17 I can think of. Actual buildings, not always different cities, though.

In how many cities/states/countries have you lived? Ditto. Actually have lived in 4 different countries, about 15, and states about 5 states (?) Dad was a military attache and DH and I have done a fair amount of travel, living abroad for two years in London. Whew!

I taught 35 years, also worked two years as an aide before teaching.

Retired four years as of June. Love being retired!

I taught bilingual second, third, and fifth grades for 17 years, then high school English and ESL/ELD for 18 years.

I enjoyed both elementary and HS for different reasons.

I taught in two elementary schools and one high school, all in the same district.

No children or grandchildren.

I have one black cat, adopted from the HS where I worked, and one dog, a female Doberman whom I show in AKC events.

I was born in NY state.

I once counted all the places I could remember living, and stopped at 25. I was twenty years old at the time. My mother was restless, and we (mom, brother, and I) were always moving in a search for better opportunities or cheaper rent.

Two states, NY and CA. Three countries, the US, Mexico, and Spain.
