I'm having surgery-somewhat TMI

I had an MRI done this morning and got the results from my OB. I have a fibroid running the entire length of my uterine wall (yes, I am special ) that's causing the problems with my period. After some discussion with my dr I have decided to have a fibroid ablation and a uterine ablation. Both will be done laprascopically. I'm waiting to hear from her nurse to schedule it.

The sooner the better! Less time to feel the pain and less time to be anxious.

I hope this finally solves the problem.

I lived with mine as it was years ago and these procedures were not offered to me. At some point they fibroids disappeared, BUT I would have given anything for a treatment option. I was miserable with years of heavy bleeding and such. I'm glad you have options, hope all goes well and you feel better.

A friend had such pain from them that I found her in a fetal position in the teacher's lounge one day. After surgery it was like she was given a whole new life.

BTW, did you ask your doctor about any limitations while you recover? Your greyhounds are beautiful but they are just a wee bit large.

I'm sending good thoughts, prayers, and healing to you. How much time will you have to be off from school?

You will feel so much better after this is done. Years ago I had a fibroid the size of a sixth month fetus. It ruptured & then fused to my ovaries. Everything was removed & I'm thankful that was an option all those years ago.
