The post about winning the lottery sparked another question.....has anybody really won a big amount on this board? Come on....share your secrets and maybe 2017 will be my turn!!! The most I've ever won on a scratch off was 25 dollars.

DH won $1,000 in the lottery many years ago. He also won a radio call in contest where he got two Super Bowl tickets, hotel accommodations for three nights in New Orleans, and plane tickets for two people. The cash value of his win was more than the $1,000 he won in the lottery.

No lottery winner here but I know people who have. We had 2 teachers who won multi millions at my school and one teacher who was an original microsoft stock owner. All 3 kept on teaching until ripe old ages and the microsoft stock owner told only a few fellow staffers about her fortune. All three will never worry about having enough $$ and neither will their children. Hopefully their heirs will manage their inheritance as well as their mothers have. Bravo!!

My former MIL won $10,000 on a scratch off, and her SIL won $25,000 twice. I only play when the money is insane.

My best friend won thirty million. She took payments spread out over twenty years so she and her husband quit work, bought their children houses and travel frequently.

My guardian's family won twelve million and gave each child two million. My guardian spent it all and then some. It was actually sad.

The most we've won is DH winning a thousand in a Halloween million dollar raffle.

My best friends aunt won $ 250,000 on a. Scratch ticket about 5 years ago. They took the lump sum which was about 170 K and bought a bigger house. The money went instantly and I would say that as a family they probably put in 150k to gambling anyway.

I've always wondered if anyone ever wins sweepstakes? Ive never seen it or heard of anyone winning it. Have you?

I won $300 3 times in 1 month. It was during a time we needed it the most too. I spent around $25 to win. I know of an associate in our building that has won $30,000 on scratch offs twice. We had a million dollar winner at our local gas station a few years ago. Our town is about 800 people it was nice to know someone locally who won.

has a nephew who won a million dollars in a scratch off game. He chose $50,000 a year for 20 years. He was young, so it made sense. He didn't quit working, but it has made his life much easier. It's a blessing since he has diabetes and things are tough for him sometimes.

Your best friend won 30 million. Just curious if she gave you a gift. I would with my best friend!
