Very Lucky

Yesterday I was driving with some of my family to go eat supper. My sister was driving, I was in the passengers seat and my sister-in-law and 9 and 15 year old nieces were in the back. As my sister was stopping at a danger large intersection she was hit from behind. It seems the guy behind her thought she would go through the yellow light and didn't attempt to slow down. He hit us going between 40 - 45 miles per hour and our vehicle was at an almost complete stop. There is no back end left on her car, it was pushed up part of the way into the back seat. All of us walked away with just a few scrapes and bruises, nothing serious. It could have been way worst, especially for those in the back seat. So far my sister-in-law and nieces have not had any muscle ache or signs of whiplash. I know whiplash can take up to 2 or 3 weeks to flare up but pray it doesn't.

Wow, it sounds like you were all very lucky! My vehicle has been rear-ended several times, but nothing like what you described. I hope that none of you develop whiplash as a result.

Your guardian angels were working overtime!

If anyone feels the slightest stiffness, it might be a good idea to go to the dr. just to document what happened and check it out. Sometimes injuries take time to appear.

That had to be SO scary! I知 glad everyone is ok.

Epsom salt baths will be your friend. Take one before bed over the next few weeks. It will help your muscles as well as help you to sleep.

Thank God it wasn't a LOT worse! And in these COVID times, who wants to be at a hospital! Hopefully, you're all well even weeks later.
