We're actually reading and listening to an audio recording of the book. I just can't help giggling. "Whizzpoppers!".

That is the funniest chapter in the book. The students love it! Reading in the voice of the BFG is so much fun.

I'm 40 years old - my parents, sister, and I still use that word.

So fun! Love that my 4th graders giggle out loud when reading this. And their lit circle conversations were so cool when sharing.

I adore that book. One student teacher I had was married to a former college basketball player. She read the BFG to the class. Her DH came into the gym for an extra recess with kids who had good behavior that week. They immediately said, " Look, it's the BFG!".

I love love love that book! My last year it was our whole school read and at the end every kid made a jar of dreams. They were gorgeous and meaningful.

Don't gobblefunk around with words.

I love the BFG! I read it every year I taught to 2nd-6th grade students. I love the message and the language.

It is one of my favorite read aloud books. The kids absolutely love it. I have to be very careful with all the nonsense words so I don't accidentally say the wrong thing.
We always watch the movie after I read it.
