Any thoughts on the Math Expressions, Houghton Mifflin, or Envisions math series? Is there a math series anyone can recommend? Thanks!

Houghton Mifflin is Go Math, correct? If so, stay far far away. It's terrible! We just got it a few years ago and are already replacing it.

Sbkangas5, thatís scary. My district is adopting Go Math in September. Many teacher liked Envisions, so I donít know why we are not adopting that.

We are getting out of envisions because itís so so lame. No high level thinking whatsoever. I ended up using Eureka all year instead.

We previously had Envision in my district and switched to Go Math years ago... I wish we had never switched! I loved Envision, not a huge fan of Go Math.

and we love it. We tried to get a representative from Envisions to come to our school when they were looking, but they wouldn't come because they said our district was too small. We looked at GoMath, and MyMath, and ended up getting MyMath. We love it. It's easy to teach on our Promethean boards, and the kids really like it.

Our school is doing some changes to the math series as well. I'm in a parochial school that goes K - 8 and I currently teach 6th. I have used the Envision series in 5th and now in 6th I am using "digits" which is the Pearson series for middle school. I don't like it AT ALL. It's 100% online and not rigorous. We looked at both Math Expressions and the Envision hard copy series for middle school and we are going with Envision. It was an easier transition for everyone since it's the same publisher. When I looked at Math Expressions, it just seemed very overwhelming and hard to sort out all of the components. Sadly, I haven't worked with a series I really love in a long time and it seems like the choices are getting fewer.
