I don't know about all of you, but every now and then I check Aesop over the summer months to see if a job happens to pop up for Sept or Oct. For those of you who check sometimes, I am curious to know the earliest you have seen a job posting show up for the following school year? Last summer, I saw 2 jobs show up for October during the middle of August. I have never seen anything before Aug 15th though.

In my districts we are deactivated in SmartFind until mid August. Usually within a day or so after we are reactivated the jobs start popping up

Wow, I would be nervous that they would forget to RE-activate me again. I'm on AESOP and it stays up all summer.

Thanks for reminding me to log in!

Ours stays up, so I do check it a few times in the summer. I don't remember exactly when the earliest I've ever gotten something was, but It's definitely been before school started. I figure it's worth a peek every once in a while.

My district starts late August, and I usually see jobs start up a week before school starts. They are usually long-terms; vacancy positions or maternity leaves.

Last year I saw jobs posted in early/mid August... I happened to look at Aesop not expecting anything, just because I was bored really. One was for the 3rd day of school, so I jumped on that since the beginning of the year is tough for getting jobs. So relieved I don't have to worry about it this year with having a full year LTS...

A couple of weeks ago the jobulator noise went off and I snagged a full day for October 25.

I won't even check until school starts. It's a relief to not have to for a couple months. Surprisingly I have received 2 Aesop calls for summer school (!) though I haven't been able to take them. I don't check in summer either.

I have also seen a couple summer school jobs show up over the years, but our district specifically hires 2-3 people to work as summer school subs, so I'm surprised I even see those jobs show up. I wouldn't want to do it anyway in non air conditioned schools.

Jobulator dings all summer long. The secretary is scheduling professional development days for the high school teachers. It's nice to have somethings lined up for the fall.
