Just saw this Gerry Brooks video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJRrVbpbeN4 , and thought we needed Sub Buttons.

Mine would say, "I only bite when cornered". What would yours say?

I just love the "Ask me about homeschooling options" one!

I sub in the school where I taught for 31 years, so a button I would love to wear around kids is "I not only know your parents, but I taught them." Another option is "I taught your principal."

To the students: "Behave Better Than My Four Year Olds!"
To the teachers: "I cannot read minds but I can read plans...leave me some!"

Hah! I'd also like to add this one: "No, the kids don't know what to do. Please leave instructions."

Yes! The kids have no idea what to do. There is no instruction/phrase that terrifies me more than "Do XYZ, the kids know what to do."

I like to say to kids "Whether you like me or hate me, I still get paid."

Mine would just say "no."

I would point to it instead of talking.

Can I go to the bathroom? No, because your friend just went and having to go isn't contagious.

Can I sharpen my pencil? No, because I'm giving instructions to the class right now and you used your thumb to break off the point.

Can I get packed up for my early dismissal? No, because it's at 11:30 and you're a half an hour early.

Can I go to the tech office? No, you told me an hour ago that your iPad was at home not in the tech office.

They have them at Amazon, not the wearable kind but them ones like the Staples "Easy" button.

Oh, I do let multiple students go to the rest room at the same time. I just make sure they go in opposite directions. If they come back together I let them know about it.

Subman, I l love those!

My button would say, "Your teacher is watching and listening by spy cam, right now. And we communicate often."

Everyone is right about the kids pretending to NOT know what to do, and/or inputting a NEW way of doing something. Often I hold up a teacher's instructions and say, "No. We are going to follow your teacher's instructions." Sometimes their facial expressions of dismay are hilarious!

Mrs. Bowen says
No passes,
No kidding!

I mostly sub 5-12th grades where the students change classes every 50 minutes. So, "no, go during the passing period."
