Books at a DRA Level 12-18

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hello,

I am teaching 2nd grade next year. I have previously taught upper grades. I need more books at a DRA level 12-18 as most of my students will be coming in around there. I have SO many books at the 24-28 level (Junie B, A-Z Mysteries, Cam Jansen, Magic Treehouse, etc.) but barely anything at these lower levels. Any great suggestions that I should stock up on? Especially if you know they are available through Scholastic? I will have a lot of bonus points to use this year.

Thanks in advance

Have you visited www.readingatoz.com? It is a pay site, but I LOVE it. They have books leveled by DRA levels and the kids can take them home. I really like that it has activities and lesson plans to go with it.

Have you tried Scholastic's Book Wizard?

You can search for books within a certain range of levels. At least during the school year, it tells you which books are available by month and book club, but I'm not sure if that feature will work now (since new flyers won't be out for a while).
