Other first world problems (more amusing)

I'm downstairs taking clothes out of the dryer and I hear this repeated banging noise. I'm thinking, "OMG! What now?"

I ran upstairs to find my cat attempting to open the kitchen cabinets, looking for food . He's able to get his paw on the edge and start to open it, but he can't get it that far so it just bangs shut. I might have to get child locks on my cabinets for the cat .

Phew. Iím with you: whenever I hear an odd sound, I start anticipating a problem. There are advantages to being hard of hearing.

And the cat waited until you went downstairs to make his burglary attempt. I think the childproof locks need to go on ASAP.

Our cat tries to get into our linen closet at the end of our hallway, right next to our bedroom, in the middle of the night. The first few times it freaked me out. Now I sleep through it most of the time.

Cats are funny! One of the cats opens cabinets and goes in them to sleep. The door closes behind him and he can come out when he wants but it worries my daughter. One of the other cats runs into their closet or jumps into the dryer sometimes when they open the doors. They spend a lot of time opening doors and cabinets to find their cats.

They do make little rubber or plastic "bumpers" you can put on to help with the banging noise. Doesn't stop your smart kitty from opening it though.

One of our cats opens the door and another will go into the cupboard. We are always hearing banging noises at our house. We are so used to it, one time the other cat was stuck and we didn't go look until he really started meowing loudly.

I got new cabinets installed and my cat learned how to do that too! I totally tune out the banging sound now...

reading the cat stories! Our cats can’t open the cabinets, but they will run inside if the cabinets are open!
